APS seeks proposals for solar plant

Latest from The Business Journals Follow this company is seeking proposals to build a 14-megawatt solar photovoltaic power plant that will be part of its AZ Sun program. The state’s largest utility will be open to submissions starting March 15 with a bidder webinar held March 22. The system must be completed and operational in 2013 and be owned by APS. At 14 megawatts, it is enough to power about 3,500 homes. APS currently is ramping up for the second phase of its AZ Sun program. Combined, the two phases will bring 200 megawatts of solar photovoltaic power online.
