Construction begins on downtown Phoenix multifamily project
Construction began Tuesday on a multifamily project near the downtown campus of Arizona State University.
Scottsdale-based Concord Eastridge and its partner EdR are building the apartment project that will cater to students at ASU, the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine and the Phoenix Biomedical campus.
The yet-unnamed community will have 325 units of various sizes and designs. It’s located at Roosevelt and Third streets on a 3-acre lot. Approximately 60 percent of the units will be furnished. The project includes a 400-plus space parking garage and about 10,000 square feet of ground level retail space.
Construction will be completed in July 2013. The architect is Ayers Saint Gross and the contractor is hardison/downey in Phoenix.
