Phoenix Premium Outlets lands Saks Fifth Avenue as anchor tenant

The Phoenix Premium Outlets now under construction on the Gila River Indian Community will be anchored by a Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th store, executives said Tuesday. A Simon Property Group project, the center is now under construction and is expected to open in 2013. It will feature 90 stores across 360,000 square feet. Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th is the outlet store for the Saks Fifth Avenue brand. The Simon outlet center joins several existing and planned outlet malls in the region. Existing discount retail destinations including Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe and the Outlets At Anthem off Interstate 17 in North Phoenix. Tanger is also building a new outlet center in Glendale that is expected to open this fall.
