Arizona population growth could rebound

Arizona’s brisk population growth during the past decade was derailed by the Great Recession but could continue again within the next few years. The Yuma Sun reported that while the state’s population only grew about 1.1 percent, or by 70,000 people, from July 2010 to July 2011, it could return to growth rates closer to 2 percent or 3 percent. That might not happen, however, until 2015, according to Elliott Pollock.
