Bernards signs on to develop part of new Eastmark community in Mesa

Bernards, a builder with five offices in the Southwest, has been named one of several general contractors for the master-planned community Eastmark in Mesa. The Phoenix office of Bernards will oversee grading of the first 11 neighborhoods in the 2,400-acre, multi-phase development at the former General Motors Proving Grounds. Eastmark is owned by Scottsdale-based DMB Associates. The first homes within Eastmark are scheduled to be ready in 2013. The initial section will begin with 700 homes on 220 acres.
