Arizona 19th for economic growth

Arizona's gross state product grew by 1.54 percent from 2010 to 2011, ranking the state 19th in the nation for economic growth. The latest figures from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) indicate that Arizona fared better than most states for gross state product growth. GSP is the annual output of goods and services at the state level. North Dakota's GSP is expanding more rapidly than any other state. Its GSP skyrocketed by 7.6 percent last year, based on inflation-adjusted figures from BEA. No other state grew faster than Oregon's 4.7 percent, and seven states actually suffered declines.
