Phoenix gets $60M to fight foreclosures
Phoenix is making plans to use another $60 million in federal stimulus money to help stem the number of foreclosures in the city.
That's on top of $39.5 million from the first program.
Kate Krietor with the city said an estimated 1,700 homes will benefit from the latest money.
"If you're a neighbor of one of the homes that we're able to get to and work with, you're going to see a difference. That house is going to have curb appeal, it's going to be energy efficient and the buyers are going to have housing counseling and a three-year home guarantee. That means they're going to be very successful home buyers."
