Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Begins $20M Expansion
The Ak-Chin Casino, which is owned by the Ak-Chin Indian Community and managed by Harrah’s, is expanding.
Construction has begun on the five-story tower that will house 152 additional guest rooms. The expansion has a price tag of $20 million, according to Joel Delia II, a project manager with The PENTA Building Group Inc.
The company is the general contractor for the casino’s expansion, which is scheduled for completion in July 2011. PENTA has worked with Harrah’s on several projects in Las Vegas and has expertise working with a number of Indian tribes.
