Ground broken on Sundance Business Center in Buckeye

Developers broke ground on the Sundance Business Center in Buckeye, a phased $20 million project that could be a catalyst for more medical services in the area. On Monday, town leaders grabbed shovels and dug into the dirt and gravel where the center's first building will stand in about five months. The site is at the northwestern corner of Sundance Parkway and Yuma Road, near Watson Road and Interstate 10, "the most powerful intersection in Buckeye," said Paul Blum, a real-estate broker with RE/MAX Commercial Investment in Scottsdale. About one-third of the first building will house a private medical practice. Developers and town officials hope the practice will draw other medical professionals to the center.
