Developer ready to show plans for Tatum/Greenway parcel
The owner of vacant land at Tatum Boulevard and Greenway Road has begun moving toward developing the 16-acre parcel, more than a year after purchasing the land in a foreclosure sale.
Letters from the owner's attorney have gone out to neighborhood residents who fought rezoning on the lot by a strip-mall developer. The developer, JMS Holdings, purchased a piece of the lot at the corner from Torino Holdings, which controls the rest of the parcel.
Torino Holdings' principals are unknown, but likely will become public at a meeting with neighbors next week.
A letter from zoning attorney Michael Curley says his client is proposing residential units that would be sold, not rented.
