Scottsdale council approves rezoning for luxury eco-resort

An upscale eco-resort planned in the Dynamite Foothills area of north Scottsdale made headway this week when the City Council approved a General Plan amendment and rezoning for the project. The Reserve Eco-Resort calls for 180 hotel rooms, 127 villas and 17 estates on 213 acres northeast of 118th Street and Rio Verde Drive. The luxury project emphasizes wellness in an environmentally-friendly setting overlooking the Golf Club Scottsdale and McDowell Sonoran Preserve. A world-class spa and health and wellness center are included in the plans. The developer, Lyle Anderson also is behind the golf-course communities of Desert Highlands and Desert Mountain in north Scottsdale. His TL Reserve Development Company Inc. would be the master developer of the Reserve.
