Clear from new study on 55+ households: Redo R&D
According to a piece in RISMedia, NAHB chief economist David "Crowe noted that about 54,000 housing starts are projected in 55+ communities this year, a 30% rise from estimated 2010 levels, but still relatively modest production. Starts in 55+ communities are projected to increase another 46% to roughly 79,000 housing units in 2012." As 10,000 baby boomers a day turn 65, these estimates for demand on the active adult side are peanuts. There's a disconnect. There's an opportunity. Your turn.
