Eco-friendly resort, housing project takes shape in Scottsdale

A new eco-friendly resort and housing community is in the works for a 218-acre piece of property in North Scottsdale. To be called The Reserve, the property is located next to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The project is being developed by luxury builder Lyle Anderson, who has developed other Valley projects including the Desert Highlands and the Desert Mountain golf community. The city of Scottsdale has approved up to 324 resort and residential units on the property. The project had initially been slated for 213 acres, but Anderson purchased an additional five acres to be added to the development. Anderson has filed additional documents with the city to allow the land to be incorporated into the project. The resort is aimed at being environmentally conscious.
