Glendale brings back development to Bell Road corridor
Glendale is revitalizing an area of Bell Road that had been hit hard by the recession with 11 new businesses and an effort to eventually bring in more office occupants.
The city has helped to find tenants for several empty restaurants and stores, particularly near the 59th Avenue and Bell intersection. Among them is a WinCo Foods supermarket that will fill a vacant Costco building at the intersection’s northeast corner.

The 131,000-square-foot space represents about half of the total space of the 11 new businesses that are slated to open this spring along Bell.
